Chris Backe from the Chris in South Korea blogsite has put up some very beautiful photos of Songgwangsa, one of the Three Jewel Temples of Korean Buddhism.

Songgwangsa is famous as an important educational center in Korean Buddhism.  Many great Korean Zen masters have come from this temple.  Dr. Robert Buswell, who teaches Korean Studies at UCLA, spent time as a monk at Songgwangsa before returning to academia.  His book, The Zen Monastic Experience is highly reccommended for anyone curious about the lives of Buddhist monks in Korea today.

Anyhow, if you would like to see the photos, please click here.

He has a very funny, but rather true, quiz “You Know Korea Is Your Home When…”  You can read that here.
