Kyungdong Presbyterian Church

I was recently in the neighbourhood of where Dongdaemun Stadium used to be, soon to become the new home for the Dongdaemun History and Culture Park.  I came across this unique church building, namely the Kyungdong Presbyterian Church, a creation of Korea’s famed architect Kim Swoo-geun.

It really is a unique building, isn’t it?  For some more (and better) pictures, visit the Marmot’s Hole blog for his feature on unique Seoul landmark.  You can see it by clicking here.  For those who, like myself, have an interest in architecture and architects, you might enjoy his feature “In Search of Kim Swoo-Geun” which you can see by clicking here.
