Klaus to sign of the Treaty of Lisbon

It seems that Dr. Václav Klaus, President of the Czech Republic, is going to sign the Treaty of Lisbon.  He realises that holding out, especially after all of the other countries have ratified it, is going to be impossible.  It does mean that he likes it, though.  However, he did manage to wring one important concession from the EU.  It concerns property rights, most specificially the property rights of those former Sudetenland Germans who were expelled from the country following World War II.  President Klaus feared that under the provisions of the treaty, descendants of those Sudenten Germans could sue to regain their properties and the Czech government would be forced by the European Court of Justice to return them.  Basically, he is seeking an opt-out from the European Charter of Fundamental Rights as the UK and Poland have done.  It looks like they are going to give him the exemption.
