Albania to seek the remains of Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa of Calcutta, now known as Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, was known and revered for her work amongst the poorest of the poor in India.  She was born Gonxha Agnes Bojaxhiu in Skopje, capital of what is now known as the Republic of Macedonia.  She was born to an ethnic Albanian family.  However, the vast majority of her life was spent not in her native homeland, but in India.  She eventually acquired Indian citizenship.

The Republic of Albania has indicated to India that they wish to obtain the remains of Blessed Mother Teresa.  Some fear that the Republic of Macedonia will get involved.  You can read more about this here.
