In Korea, the use of personal seals is still very much common. Most Koreans have one or more official seals which they use for financial transactions and other official things. The Korean name for a personal seal is dojang ( 도장). The designs are registered with the government. In case they are lost or stolen, the government must be notified. Foreigners aren’t expected to have one. Koreans are expected to have seals, especially for banking matters. Thus, shops specialising in personal seals are very, very common. This shop also makes other things as well.
