Reflections on President Roh

The Marmot’s Hole, one of the best Korea blogs out there, had this link to a very balanced reappraisal of the presidency of Roh Moo-hyun.  The funeral is now over and the late president’s cremated remains were taken to his home in Bongha village, Gimhae county, South Gyeongsang Province.  His supporters are no doubt praising everything that the man did.  The print media, once his strongest critics, have generally quieted down a bit.  In Korea, the print media generally tend to be conservative, that is with the exception of the Hankyoreh. And perhaps the time will come, once the emotions have cooled (do they ever cool here?), to calmly look back on the man and his presidency.
