Visit to 慶熙大學校

This past week, we went on a field trip to Kyung Hee University (경희대학교) in the Hoegi neighbourhood of Seoul’s Dongdaemun district.  The reason for going was to visit the university’s Natural History Museum.  They have an interesting logo which is basically a stylised 學 (hak, which means learning and forms the basis of words like dae hak gyo (大學校) which means university).

Anyhow, the museum was OK.  I’ve definitely seen better ones, but this one was free.  We are always on the lookout for such things, I suppose.  Anyhow, here are some of the buildings.  It seems that you can’t have a university with either a Gothic revival building or a Classical revival building.  And they have both!
