Paul Harvey dies

Paul Harvey died in Arizona yesterday.  He was a great figure in the world of radio and I am certain that his distinctive voice will be missed many.  You can read the obituary in The New York Times here.

He was extremely fortunate to live a long and healthy life doing the things that he loved doing right up to the end.  Behind the scenes, it seems that some of Harvey’s work was very much a family enterprise.  His late wife, Lynne Cooper Harvey was the producer to “The Rest of the Story” and his son, Paul Harvey Aurandt, did a lot of his writing.  All three members of the Harvey family were inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
