Huge Methodist Church in Seoul

On one of our field trips, I came across this huge church in Seoul.  It is Emmanuel Methodist Church.  While the Presbyterian Church in Korea is dominant among Korea’s Protestants, we do have a fairly large representation of other denominations as well, namely Methodist, Lutheran, Salvation Army, and so forth.

Anyhow, I thought that this was a rather weird sort of take on concrete and glass architecture meeting Gothic, or something like that.  If nothing else, it is rather pointy.

  1. Did you get to go inside?

  2. No, we didn’t go inside. I was at the even uglier Modern Art museum across the street with the kids.
