Star Ferry redux

One of my favourite things about Hong Kong is the Star Ferry.  The Star Ferry has been ferrying passengers back and forth across Victoria to Hong Kong Island from Hung Hom and Kowloon (and back again) many times a day.  The boats are all pretty old, the majority of which were built in the 1950s, but they’re still in great working order.  It costs HK$2.20 (about US$0.30) to take the boats across the harbour.

The Star Ferry just isn’t a tourist attraction.  Many people do use the boats as a means of commuting from various parts of Hong Kong every day.  Here’s one of the recent Star Ferry pictures.
