Western Architecture in Seoul

During the later part of the 19th century, modernisation became a big thing in Japan and in Korea as well. I don’t know what this building originally was, but it is currently a bank.  It is a beautiful example of late-19th early 20th century architecture.

  1. Hi, I’m just reading your writing and can’t endure to say this building. This is the oldest bank in Korea. It calls ‘광통관’ and 서울기념물 제19호. Hope you enjoy Summer in Korea. Bye.
